OWINGS MILLS, Md – January 28, 2009 – The launch of
LettersToOurPresident.com – a blog designed to allow the general public a means to write letters to our president regarding the issues facing America – was announced today. The site features categories including all of the White House agenda items; Inauguration Letters, aimed at capturing the feeling of the public after Barack Obama’s inauguration; and Letters from Kids, an area designed to be used by kids, teens and schools.
“Like many Americans I was inspired by the Inaugural events on January 20, 2009. The American people appear to feel more connected to this election than others in the recent past,” stated blog creator Kris McCurry. “Giving those people a way to communicate their ideas, opinions and thoughts seemed like a natural at this time.”
LettersToOurPresident.com is non-partisan and non-biased, and designed to be a helpful and constructive forum. People of all ages, races and religions are encouraged to participate. While there are rules prohibiting derogatory content, the site is open and encourages opposing opinions and an open dialogue. Given that the current administration has stated their wish to bring people back into government, the timing of LettersToOurPresident.com is ideal.
The site, operated by Brave New Markets, a marketing firm based in Owings Mills, Maryland, will be promoted virally and online in hopes that it generates interest nationwide. “Our goal is that the blog captures the pulse of the nation during these challenging times, and gives American’s a constructive forum for voicing their ideas and opinions,” added McCurry.
